Oh thou beautiful CakeFest, should thy wonders never cease? Not today; the third and final day of CakeFest 2008 here in Orlando has been the best day yet. Kicking off the AM with a keynote by Nate Abele, we got a look into some of the cool things he has been doing to make CakePHP full of little gems.

CakeFest 2008: Day Two

Wow, that about sums it up for the second day here in Orlando. Kicking off the day, Larry Masters keynote summed up a supporting topic of my talk about humanization. His keynote crashed to a screeching halt when Keynote decided to hide his notes. Because of a recent upgrade, the setting to correct this was nowhere for the lead cake developer-gone speaker. This made for a more interesting hack session that dug into some fantastic Unicode support that is pending integration into CakePHPs core.
