BAYOU RESTAURANT BRANDING

Turning up the heat

Bayou is the bastard child of restaurants–fine dining ambiance and service, cuisine born in the swamps of Louisiana. In its first year of operations, Bayou has already become one of the 'hottest' places to dine in the city.

Challenge

Chef Matthew Black needed to make an impact with his first sole venture and concept. He also needed to pull in folks from the downtown restaurant row area into his midtown destination.

Solution

Vigor developed a brand identity that featured a logo, signage, menus, business cards and stickers that was used to help create the visual vibe of the restaurant. We then helped art direct the interior design and color palette to tie the concept together.

Results

Bayou built a following quickly with rave reviews from all the local media. Bayou was sold a year and half later at a profit. Chef Matthew Black opened Confit French Bistro immediately after.
